Police line do not cross). On the other hand, the numbers 1, 2 and 3 are next to the sea turtle, and there is a piece of plastic waste next to the numbers.
When examined from a semantic perspective, it is revealed that the plastic waste in the public service announcement is used as a metaphor for death. In the public service announcement, the message that the sea turtle lost its life is given by marking the place where people died with a line and surrounding it with a police cordon. In this process, the perception that sea creatures lost their lives as a result of plastic waste is created through the drawing of the sea turtle in the public service announcement and the numbered plastic wastes around it. When considered from a pragmatic perspective, a sense of sadness is created through the message that plastic wastes cause the death of sea creatures in the public service announcement. In this way, the public service announcement tries to raise awareness of people not to throw plastic waste into the environment.
